American Forest Foundation
Nathan Truitt is the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for the American Forest Foundation. In that role, he is responsible for working with forest product manufacturers, brandowners, conservation foundations, government agencies, other conservation non-profits and individual philanthropists to find common ground and advance AFF’s mission of sustaining America’s family-owned forests. He joined AFF in 2013 after starting his career in conservation with the Izaak Walton League of America. Prior to joining the conservation field, Nathan worked for several years in international education, helping to create and administer student and professional exchanges between the United States and the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. He has spent time living in Serbia, Ukraine, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, where he met his wife. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Turkmenistan from 2000 to 2003. He has a Master’s Degree in Philanthropy and Development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota.
