David Allaway is a policy analyst in the Materials Management Program of the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality. His current work focuses on sustainable production and consumption, consumption-based greenhouse gas inventories, and changes to metrics for solid waste generation and recovery programs. David has commissioned or contributed to several publicly funded life cycle assessments and previously served on the steering committee and materials metrics committee of WalMart’s Sustainable Packaging Value Network. David has a B.A. in physics and a concentration in science, technology, and public policy from Carleton College, Minnesota.
