Candela leads the Corporate Citizenship team at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) and is responsible for the reputation management, environmental stewardship, philanthropic, responsible marketplace and employee engagement efforts of the segment. Candela initially joined DCPI in January 2011 to integrate sustainability into DCPI’s product lifecycle as a part of the Toys Licensing team. Over the last 6 years, she has been responsible for key citizenship initiatives across The Walt Disney Company, such as overseeing the Smart Packaging initiative,  managing the implementation of the Paper Policy and the Healthy Living commitment for the segment, and driving strategic cause marketing and philanthropic partnerships.

Prior to joining DCP, Candela was an Account Executive at Clean Agency, a leading sustainability consulting firm specializing in research, strategy and communications for Fortune 500 companies, such as Nestlé, Mattel, Asics and Disney. Prior to that, Candelaheld multiple positions in various corporate social responsibility consulting firms in New York City, specializing in green marketing, eco-innovation and CSR reporting, such as J. Ottman Consulting and Maurgood.

Candela holds a Masters in Economic Development from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Soka University.
